1. Concepts:

Natural volumetric weight of soil (γ _w ): The mass of a unit volume of soil with natural texture and moisture, in (g/cm ³ ), referred to as volumetric weight.

2. Calculation formula:

                                                        Inside:

                                                                  - γ _w   Volumetric weight (g/cm ³ );

                                                                  - m Mass of soil sample (g);

                                                                  - V Volume of soil sample (cm ³ ).

4. Experimental equipment:

- Round knife made of stainless metal, with sharp cutting edge;

- Callipers;

- Knife to cut the ground;

- Technical balance with an accuracy of 0.01 g;

- Plastic glass panels;
