2. Input geotechnical parameters

The permeability coefficient can be obtained from laboratory test results such as constant water column, variable water column, from correlation equations or field pumping experiments.

Due to the non-formular effect of sampling, the soil samples do not fully represent the properties of rocks in nature. The results of laboratory experiments such as variable water column or constant water column are therefore not applicable to the analysis and design of the pumping system to lower the groundwater level. The most reliable method for determining the permeability coefficient is the field suction pump test.
